I am not sure if/when the Rocco Jones Report will be available this week, so i thought i would throw together my own review for you.
It is tough to get excited about a narrow win over a team that has now gone a third of the way through the season without beating anyone, so here is a list of reasons that should help make you reasonably pleased about Sunday's game.
-Melbourne have made the finals in each of the last three years.
-Before Sunday, we had won only 2 of our last 11 matches against them.
-We won despite the fact that Aaron Davey (possibly the best game of his career), Travis Johnstone and Adam Yze, a trio whose poor form is some of the reason why the Demons are yet to win a game, all played well against us.
-The week before Melbourne would have beaten Port, who are now the top team, if a late goal had not been disallowed because of a free kick.
-Mitch Hahn had a pretty good comeback game.
-Jason Akermanis, when the game was 'on the line', played his best quarter for the club so far.
-Luke Darcy had his best game (as ruck option) since his return from injury.
-Adam Cooney played good first and last quarters, and after basically missing pre season, his 'zip' is gradually returning.
-We can expect that Darcy, Akermanis, Cooney, and Hahn, will continue to improve.
-We are one week closer to the return of Chris Grant.

Typical Rocco Jones - sucks you in with a bit of foreplay at the start, then once you're hooked forgets the meaning of the word....
